The Dreamland was excited to host one of the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre organization, Missoula Childrens Theatre in March 2026. The program was a free, week-long musical theater residency for Nantucket students.
In just five days, students in grades 1–12 auditioned, rehearsed, and experienced the thrill of performing in a full musical production of “Beauty Lou and the Country Beast” on the Dreamland stage. Working alongside professional touring directors, over 60 kids built skills in a fun, supportive environment – gaining confidence, discovering their voices, and forming lasting friendships. The smiles stretched for miles, and the courage and self-worth they carried off stage were truly immeasurable.
