Dreamland Kids Stage Explorer Weekly Camps – A Global Adventure of Mindfulness, Manners, Art, Music, and Theatre

Get your imagination passport ready, because boarding begins June 29th! Every week this summer, your Stage
Explorer will travel to a brand-new country, discover a new story, and take the stage on Friday to show the world
what they’ve learned. Seven weeks, seven adventures, one unforgettable summer!

At Stage Explorers, the best learning happens when kids are having the time of their lives! Our “fractured”
fairytales flip classic stories upside down to teach big life lessons through play, music, and imagination. One week
they’re buzzing with Italian honeybees. The next? They’re joining a percussive Kitchen Band on the shores of
Portugal! Your child will be moving, creating, laughing, and growing every single day.

Every session is structured around Play and the Four M’s:

  • Mindfulness: Grounding exercises and quiet focus
  • Manners: International etiquette and social grace
  • Music: The universal language that connects us all
  • Make-believe: Creative storytelling and theatrical play

A World of Discovery in Every Session

  • Theatre & Dance: Children find their “big voices” through original scripts and choreographed musical
    numbers tailored to their age.
  • Creative Art: Every day, campers craft their own “Global Costumes” — from Japanese origami crowns to
French berets — bringing their characters to life.
  • Global Enlightenment: We introduce foreign languages and cultural traditions, teaching children that
kindness and respect are the same in every corner of the world.
  • Mindful Etiquette: Through our signature Tea Party format, children learn the art of conversation, poise,
and table grace in a fun, celebratory setting.

The Grand Finale: Friday Showcase

Every Friday at 11:00 AM, families and friends are invited to a magical Stage Explorer Showcase, part
performance, part tea party, part sing-along! After taking a bow, the cast hosts an interactive tea service on stage,
serving their guests with confidence, kindness, and a whole lot of heart. It’s a moment you won’t want to miss!

Weekly Descriptions

Week 1 | Italy — Kindness (Gentilezza)
Buzz into Tuscany! When a shy flower refuses to bloom, campers use the “Hum of Kindness” to save the hive.
This week features the Tarantella dance, Italian greetings, and “Nectar” art projects. Children master the Art of
the Request and honey-passing etiquette. Lesson: “Kindness is a Key”: when we use sweet words, we help
everyone around us bloom.

Week 2 | France — Curiosity (Curiosité)

Stroll through Provence with the “Stitch Squad!” Instead of fighting giants, our Tailor uses curiosity to find the
truth. Campers design custom berets and perform a rhythmic ribbon dance, exploring French-inspired poise and
elegant napkin placement. Lesson: “Ask Before You Act”: being brave means being a learner, not a fighter.

Week 3 | Germany — Empathy (Mitgefühl)
Deep in the Black Forest, the “Bear Brigade” teaches Goldilocks “Boundless Breathing.” Campers craft felt
lederhosen-style suspenders and perform a tempo-shifting character dance. Etiquette focuses on “Mindful
Consumption” and the “No-Slurp” rule. Lesson: “Walking in Someone Else’s Paws”: empathy means slowing
down to imagine how friends are feeling.

Week 4 | Ireland — Hope (Dóchas)
Discover inner light on the misty Cliffs of Moher. This Celtic retelling features a lyrical “Morning Star” dance and
the creation of “Hopes and Dreams” star jars. Children learn the “Royal Entrance” and practice the toast Sláinte.
Lesson: “The Light is Inside You”: hope is the belief that a new day is always coming.

Week 5 | Mexico — Patience (Paciencia)
Race through the vibrant deserts of Oaxaca! The “Pit Crew” and “Slow-Steady Squad” learn that finishing
together is the real victory. Children create colorful serapes and master clapping-game rhythms, focusing on the
“Gift of Waiting.” Lesson: “The Gift of Waiting”: patience is a gift we give ourselves and our friends.

Week 6 | Portugal — Compassion (Compaixão)
Journey to a colorful Algarve fishing village! Travelers turn a single stone into a communal Festa. Campers create
“Rooster of Barcelos” badges and join a percussive “Kitchen Band,” mastering the “Art of Conversation.” Lesson:
“Better Together”: sharing our daily catch transforms scarcity into abundance.

Week 7 | Japan — Self-Love (Yūki)

Celebrate the “Parade of Truth” in Kyoto! Our Emperor learns that honesty is the finest garment of all. Children
craft origami crowns and perform a runway finale. We focus on “Imperial Posture” and the traditional bow (Ojigi).
Lesson: “Proud to be Me”: the courage to be yourself is the greatest royal act.
