Summer 2010

The fun at the Dreamland continues this summer with activities on the lot including concerts, programs and theater shows for kids – a great way to stage our fall ground breaking for the new theater. And, wind and rain will be no obstacle this season as we will be extending a tent over the grass.

The plan is to host day programs for kids, a Young Actors’ Theater Company, culminating in weekly mini-productions for ages 5-14; a children’s musical theater production of HONK, Jr. for ages 5-18 years; and, Theater Discovery, a program for children with special needs giving students on the spectrum a place to discover the power of their own voice through the use of masks, movement and music

In addition, the Dreamland once again will host movies and concerts on the lawn at least one night a week throughout the summer. We also continue to invite the community to use our space-under-the-tent – for a nominal fee that goes toward the cost of rebuilding the theater, you can enjoy a wonderful space in the heart of downtown Nantucket overlooking the harbor with all the basic amenities.
