Special Screenings and Events

Our special screenings and event ticket prices vary depending on the program.  Please check our Tickets & Showtimes line up for a complete list of prices.  Some special screenings and events are free to members.  Check your member benefits for details.

Why are there service fees?

The service fees cover the cost of the ticketing software.  We are charged to use the software regardless whether you purchase the ticket online or at the box office, so the service fee applies regardless.  The service fees are $3 per ticket for movies and events below $50.  For tickets above $50, the fees vary based on the cost of the ticket.  Dreamland Members do not pay any service fees, so please consider joining!

Why are tickets more expensive for non-members?

The Nantucket Dreamland is non-profit and relies on community support for its operations.  Many of the grants we receive require we demonstrate we have community support through strong membership sales.  As such, we strongly encourage people to become members.  Even if you only visit the Dreamland occasionally, you will find Member Benefits significantly outweigh the membership cost – through free tickets, discounted tickets, free popcorn and more!

How do I purchase tickets?

All tickets must be purchased online or at our lobby kiosks.  To purchase tickets online 24/7,  visit Tickets & Showtimes.

When will you will be getting/Can you book…?

We work hard with our booking agent to bring our patrons the best releases possible but we do have limitations on when and if we will get a certain film.  We always welcome suggestions though, so if there is a specific movie you think would be great for a regular showing or for a special screening, please let us know!

Our movie schedule is released on  either Tuesdays or Wednesday weekly.  For schedule of our screenings and events see Tickets & Showtimes or Coming Soon.

Are there devices for the sight and hearing impaired?

The Dreamland is equipped with assistive technology for the sight and hearing impaired.  Equipment is available free of charge and is subject to availability.  Please see Accessibility & Assistive Technology for a full list of our available devices.

Is the Theater wheelchair accessible?

The Dreamland Theater is equipped with a barrier-free entrance and drop-off area. Two handicapped parking spaces are available next to the drop-off area.    All three screens – Main, Studio and Harborview – are wheelchair accessible.

We offer three dedicated seats for wheelchairs with companion seating in the Main Theater.  These seats may only be allocated by staff and cannot be purchased online.  To purchase these seats, please call the box office.  The Studio and Harborview Theaters are designed to allow for wheelchair seating anywhere and tickets for shows in those theaters may be purchased online.

If you require assistance to your seat or while in the theater, please see the manager on duty.     See Accessibility & Assistive Technology for a full list of our available devices.

Where can I park?

The Dreamland does not have parking available on its property.  On-street parking is available, along with the town parking lot located on Washington Street.  Please ensure that you obey all town enforced parking regulations and time limits.

How long does the screening or performance last?

You can always find out how long a screening or performance is by checking the Tickets & Showtimes page.

What time should I arrive at the theater?

For live events, we do our best to start the show at the scheduled time so we recommend you arrive 15 – 30 minutes early.  There is that rare occasion when we have to “hold” the house for a few extra minutes.  If you require assistance or are unable to stand, please see the manager on duty for assistance.

Unlike other movie theaters, we typically only show a few minutes of previews after the scheduled movie start time, so we strongly encourage you to arrive early to have time to get popcorn/concessions and settle into your seat.

How do I get my band/artist/speaker booked?

Please contact Josh Gray
